I want to be a beach bum on Costa Rica for a month. Which caost has the nicer beaches?
Caribbean or Pacific?
I prefer turquoise transparent water and very white sand
Any advice on low cost beachside accommodation would be appreciated too! Any other tips?
ME: 40, male, solo traveller – taking two months to chill out in Costa Rica: never been there.

Pacific is the best. For some reason the Caribbean coast of Costa rica is swampy (great for spotting turttles and crocs but not good for a beach day).
The whitest sand I’ve found was at Manuel Antonio, right outside the national park.
