Manuel Antonio to Arenal region? In Costa Rica?
Taking a trip during the summer to costa rica. Plan to hit up Arenal/Manuel Antonio/San Jose. Flying in to San Jose. So far I think we are taking a bus from san jose to manuel antonio when we arrive. Yet to get to arenal after-wards is looking pricey (already checked sansa and nature air). So I’m thinking of driving. My questions…
1) How long is the drive from Manuel Antonio to Arenal?
2) What is the fastest route?
3) What is the most scenic route?
4) Know of any bus lines that run between the two cities that might be worth it?
I’d appreciate any help. Thank you!
1)-2 it will take you 6 hours through San Ramon to La Fortuna. 3)Both the San Ramon and Naranjo routes are scenic, the latter has more forest and the former more coffee and long range vistas. There are two shuttle services–Interbus and Gray Lines that will take you to Arenal for about $35 apiece. Taking pubic transportation would take you a whole day and it would not be worth it.
