I’m going to san jose, costa rica I have never been there. I need HELP?
do i need rent a car and suggestions on activities or excursions.
If you are in San Jose itself, the best and cheapest mode of transportation is the taxi. Traffic is bad in San Jose and parking is difficult to find and relatively expensive. Streets are not marked (or in many cases are un-named).
From San Jose there are a number of good day trips– the Britt coffee tour, rafting on the Pecuare or Revantazon, the La Paz Waterfalls or the Calypso Cruise to the Isla de Tortuga.
San Jose is not a beautiful city but it has its own charm. It is safe compared to most capital cities in Latin America but property crime (pick pocketing etc) is quite common.
