What do Costa Ricans generally like to recieve as gifts from Europe?
Next month I am traveling to Costa Rica as an exchange student from Central Europe and I would like to bring things for my host family which are special for them.
I would really appreciate any tips.(Especially from ticas\ticos)

Land Rovers for the ones I’ve known. First, you need to check the laws on what is allowed in the country. They have some very odd rules on numbers of batteries and rolls of film and electronics. There may also be huge taxes on some items. Vehicles can run up to 70% of the original value. The taxing authority determines the Original value.
